Family Photography
Why is family photography important? Is it about art and beautiful images for your home? Yes, absolutely – but also – it's about memories.
Memories of childhood are so so important – both to us as parents now, and also to our kids. Did you know that having photos of your children and your family on your walls has actually been shown to increase their sense of belonging and self worth and increase their confidence? How many pictures of your children do you have displayed at home?
Children also love to look back on images that capture you together – that capture the love of their family and their parents. If you really want family photos, don’t wait for the day that you feel slimmer, more attractive, less tired… that’s not what your kids will remember. Honestly. Your kids will remember their loving parents, the fun they had out in the park and how much they loved cuddling you in the grass, getting a piggy back through the lavender fields or clambering over trees in the wood. Exist for your kids – exist now – and in their memories…
Capture these moments in your families life in a creative & artistic way and you will have beautiful portraits and heirloom images that you will want to display and pass down through your families generations.
Pets are very welcome (and an encouraged family member!) as long as you are comortable that they can calmly wait for any shots that they may not be in!

FAQ
When should i book?
Photographers often prescribe that newborn photoshoots should take place within the first 5 – 14 days of birth to ensure as much as possible that they are still in that sleepy phase to enable hem to be posed and get those lovely peaceful shots. This can definitely be beneficial but with more natural posing styles it is not essential and the photoshoot can tae place when you are ready and feel recovered from the birth.
How do I book a photography session?
Booking a photography session is easy. You can book your session online, and then once you have viewed your gallery, you can select your photo package aftrwards based on your budget and preferred bumber of final images.
Can we choose the location for our photo shoot?
I offer newborn shoots both in my purpose built studio or at your home. The style with each is slightly different with the studio allowing more control over the lighting and what is present in the photos, and the home providing a more reportage based backdrop and authenticity (thoughy I do recommend a declutter and tidy up at if you choose a home based shoot). Each has its own unique beneifts and you can see examples of ecah style of shoot on my website.
How long does a typical photo session last?
The duration of a photo session varies depending on the type and scope of the session. Newborn sessions typically range from 2 - 4 hours and I only book one sessin per day to ensure ample time to capture all the important moments and ensure you feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the session.
How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?
I understand the anticipation of seeing your final photos. My editing process typically takes 1-2 weeks, depending on the volume of images and the complexity of editing required. My priority is quality and attention to detail to deliver exceptional images that exceed your expectations.
What happens if one of us is unwell?
If you find yourself becoming unwell before your photoshoot I ask that you let me know as far in advance as possible to give me ample time to assss the situation and reschedule if we agree that is the best course of action. As I am working with pregnant women and small babies people's health is my numbr one priority and limiting the spread of infectious illness helps protect me and therefore my clents, including yourself.
