Newborn Photography in Richmond, Teddington and the surrounding areas

Those first few weeks of having a baby can be a bit crazy & fly by as you adjust to all of the changes & before you know it your sweet newborn is no longer a newborn and and sooner than you realise they are running around the house! I aim to capture those memories and provide you with newborn photography that marks one of the most special times in your life. As a mother and specialist baby and child photographer, I am experienced in the art of safely posing newborn babies and offer a bespoke service tailoring my sessions with your favourite props and colours.

My clients come from far and wide but predominantly come from around Central and West London. My approach is baby led posing – so what you wont see in my gallery are babies in unnatural forced positions – my aim is to produce beautiful artwork by carefully posing your baby in poses that are comfortable and safe – they lead the way and remain in control at all times!

If your baby is a little older and already sitting up it can be lovely to capture these key stages as they grow up – you can read more about milestone sessions for older babies here Baby photography

Studio

Session Fee £99

My studio is purpose built and sessions are calm and comfortable and focused on creating beautiful timeless images without the background distractions that you might get at home.  Sessions are clam and unhurried and I only ever book one session a day to allow plenty of time for feeding and cuddles through the session.

Your babys portraits will be captured in a way that shows their beautiful natural form rather than posing them in unnatural positions (that was once the desired look) and for parents, I focus on creating images that shows the connection between you and your baby.

I will guide and direct you into positions to ensure that you look and feel your best and will do that same with your baby, but there is no stiff posing, just beautifully lit, timeless images that celebrate your baby exactly as they are - capturing the tiny details, their soft expressions, and the love that fills these first moments as a family.

Each of your baby's and family portraits will be hand edited to create beautiful heirloom images ready for display on your wall, albums as we as of course your digital devices devices.

Images are more reportage in style, but for those who do not want to have any posing and are keen to capture authentic real life moments captured then these are for you.

Photos may include your baby in their crib, you as a family on your bed or in your living spaces, some people are also keen for breast feeding photos to capture this incredible part of your motherhood journey.

As in the studio, sessions are calm and unhurried, allowing time for feeding and cuddles through the session.

Images are again hand edited to ceate a beautiful gallery to display in an album, or on the wall as well of course as your digital devices.

FAQ

When should i book?

Photographers often prescribe that newborn photoshoots should take place within the first 5 – 14 days of birth to ensure as much as possible that they are still in that sleepy phase to enable hem to be posed and get those lovely peaceful shots. This can definitely be beneficial but with more natural posing styles it is not essential and the photoshoot can tae place when you are ready and feel recovered from the birth.

How do I book a photography session?

Booking a photography session is easy. You can book your session online, and then once you have viewed your gallery, you can select your photo package aftrwards based on your budget and preferred bumber of final images.

Can we choose the location for our photo shoot?

I offer newborn shoots both in my purpose built studio or at your home. The style with each is slightly different with the studio allowing more control over the lighting and what is present in the photos, and the home providing a more reportage based backdrop and authenticity (thoughy I do recommend a declutter and tidy up at if you choose a home based shoot). Each has its own unique beneifts and you can see examples of ecah style of shoot on my website.

How long does a typical photo session last?

The duration of a photo session varies depending on the type and scope of the session. Newborn sessions typically range from 2 - 4 hours and I only book one sessin per day to ensure ample time to capture all the important moments and ensure you feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the session.

How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?

I understand the anticipation of seeing your final photos. My editing process typically takes 1-2 weeks, depending on the volume of images and the complexity of editing required. My priority is quality and attention to detail to deliver exceptional images that exceed your expectations.

What happens if one of us is unwell?

If you find yourself becoming unwell before your photoshoot I ask that you let me know as far in advance as possible to give me ample time to assss the situation and reschedule if we agree that is the best course of action. As I am working with pregnant women and small babies people's health is my numbr one priority and limiting the spread of infectious illness helps protect me and therefore my clents, including yourself.
